Our charity work

I am committed to giving back to our local community, so I have partnered with three children's charities, supporting young people with life limiting challenges in the Dorset area. I've pledged a percentage of our profits every year to these charities.

Dorset Children’s Foundation (The DCF)

Set up in 2013, the Dorset Children’s Foundation (DCF) is a small, independent charity created to enhance the lives of local disabled children and their families. They do this by funding disability equipment, medical expenses, and therapies, and by offering Accessible For All, a large range of sports and play opportunities.

They provide affordable counselling to families, fund a range of support groups and clubs, and run stay and play pre-school sessions that all bring families together. The DCF offers advocacy and advice, a befriending service, disability education workshops, and campaigns for the rights of families.

Chestnut Tree House

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and south-east Hampshire and provides care for around 300 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions every year.

As well as care provided at the House itself, nurses visit families at home, take children out to explore their local community, or simply give tired families and carers the chance to take a well-earned break. More than £5 million is needed every year to provide hospice care for local children and their families, most of which comes from donations, fundraising, gifts in wills, shops, the Chestnut Tree House lottery and volunteering.

Julia’s House

Julia’s House is a local charity dedicated to supporting the families of children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in the heart of the community in Dorset and Wiltshire. Many of these children require round-the-clock care, which has a huge impact on family life.

Julia’s House provides specialist care that’s individualised for each family and includes care for the seriously ill child, family support, emergency and end of life care. The charity relies on public donations, fundraising, and legacies for around 92% of the money needed to keep running its vital service.
